First Harvest at O· PARK1's Rooftop Farm
As The Chinese saying goes, "The whole year's work depends on a good start in spring”. By using the compost transformed from food waste, O·PARK1 has successfully planted different kinds of vegetables at its rooftop farm and had its first Chinese White Cabbage (Pak Choi) harvest, heralding the arrival of spring.
Being the first organic resources recovery centre in Hong Kong, not only has O·PARK1 been converting food waste into biogas for electricity generation, but it has also been transforming food waste residues into compost for farming.
