The 9th Veolia's International Health and Safety Week was successfully launched
Veolia International Health & Safety Week 2023 has just been launched from 18 - 22 September. This year's contest theme is "Life-size HiPo spotting - with stakeholders."
At Veolia, we place the health and safety of our employees at the top of our list of priorities. We take proactive measures to prevent occupational risks from day to day. During the annual International Health and Safety Week this week, we purposefully organised a series of safety training activities and talks for all our employees. Our goal is to encourage everyone to be more mindful of the safety of individuals, peers, and subcontractors.
This year, all our sites have participated in a range of activities, including SAFE REFLEX workshops and Life-Saving-Rule Games, Fire Safety workshops, Fire Drills, Toolbox Training workshops, and sessions on Safety Messages to Frontline workers to raise awareness. Training sessions tailored to specific sites' scope of work, such as Chemical Spill Drills, Boiler Refreshment Training sessions, and "Lock-Out, Tag-Out" sessions, were also conducted for on-site workers.
In addition, the HK Executive Committee paid visits to different sites to join the joint safety inspections and management site visits so as to spread the importance of work safety to all staff members.
We believe that employees are the most valuable asset for the organisation; thus, promoting a healthy and safe work culture in every aspect of our scope of work is crucial. Since March of this year, Veolia has launched the "Life-Saving Rules" campaign across Asia to increase workers' safety awareness, prevent high-risk situations that can lead to serious accidents, and maintain the health and safety of everyone.
We count on our worldwide Resourcers to maintain a safe workplace. Let's work together to help keep everyone safe at work.
